Assorted Angel Fish

Pterophyllum scalare*, commonly known as the angelfish, is a popular freshwater fish native to the Amazon Basin in Brazil, Colombia, and Peru. Their elongated dorsal, ventral, and anal fins give them their name and an angel-like silhouette when viewed from the side. This unique shape also helps them maneuver and twirl underwater. Angelfish are taller than they are long, and prefer calm, slow-moving water with a well-planted tank and some open space for swimming. In time, angelfish can grow up to 4" long and 6" tall
